We toured around a little bit today, and had to take pictures in front of the skinniest house. It's supposed to be 1.01 meters wide, which looks about right when measuring it with our arms.

How cramped!

And then, since we were out, we thought we might as well have a few cold ones. We actually drank the line of beers on tap. And we had long conversations about why beers go into their specially shaped glass.

My bike

Now that I've pimped my bike, here it is:

I added the basket, and the flair to the basket. Pretty sweet, right?

Also, I discovered a fairy ring as I was cruising on my bike. You know what that means, it's a portal to the elf world!

Rijksmuseum

I visited the Rijksmuseum this week. It contains art by Dutch artists- paintings, artifacts, Delft pottery, etc. The museum is being remodeled and expanded, so a lot of the art has been loaned away. There is a room displaying Rembrandt's paintings, but I enjoyed the Van Gogh musuem more.

It's turning to fall and the trees are getting naked!

If you've seen the newest Snoop Dogg video, with Willie Nelson, this is the same big Amsterdam sign. They performed here at a little venue and shot a video right before we moved.

Sometimes a sunset just can't go unnoticed!

October in California

It was awesome to go to California for five days, and stop in Atlanta along the way. Stevie and I both LOVED seeing our families and friends even if it was just for dinner. The happy couple that our trip revolved around got hitched- so that's good. We left SFO on a red-eye, had a 12 hour stopover in Atlanta, then flew another red-eye home to Amsterdam. Back to the European life...
